Unlike stiff literary Telugu ( grandhika bhasha ), these stories are written in vyavaharika bhasha (colloquial language). However, they are not crude. The authors use poetic metaphors drawn from Telugu classical literatureβcomparing a heroineβs shyness to a mallika flower blooming at night, or the heroβs longing to the Godavari flooding its banks.
