Playing v025 is meditative. Because your character has no hair, no face, no identity, you project your own purpose onto the world. Are you an architect? Use the physics tools to stack rubble into a tower. Are you a demolitionist? Find the hidden gas canisters. Are you a speedrunner? The game records your every ragdoll fall.

This is not a single title, but rather a thematic sub-genre. Games tagged with "Back to New Freedom" typically involve a protagonist escaping a controlled, sterile environment (a "simulation," a "bunker," or a "corporate hub") to return to an open, often broken, but free overworld. The "New Freedom" is ironic: the world outside is usually desolate, glitchy, or governed by strange physics—but it is authentic. The "Back to" implies a repatriation; the character has been here before, in a previous version of the game (v024).
