The loop recording and G-sensor (impact detection) work as advertised. I tested the G-sensor by hitting a sizeable pothole, and the camera correctly locked the file so it wouldn't be overwritten. The audio pickup is also surprisingly sensitive, clearly capturing conversations inside the car and horns from outside.
