The portable version uses a hardware hash tied to the original activation PC. Solution: This occurs with cracked versions. A legitimate volume-licensed Office 2013 (MAK or KMS) will not prompt because it checks a KMS server. For standalone licenses, portable is not truly feasible without re-activation per machine.
