Most alien movies follow the same formula: Invaders from space land on Earth. Planet 51 flips the script. The film is set on a distant planet where green-skinned, antenna-sporting citizens live a 1950s-style suburban life—diners, drive-in movies, and paranoia about “alien invasions.” When NASA astronaut Captain Charles "Chuck" Baker (voiced by Dwayne Johnson) lands on Planet 51, he becomes the extraterrestrial threat.

"Planet 51" is a 2009 computer-animated science fiction comedy film directed by Jorge Blanco and written by Ciaran Foy and Johnny Hughes. The film is set in the year 1959 and follows the story of Commander Charles "Chuck" McKenzie (voiced by Mike Darnell in the American version and by José Luis García Pérez in the British version), an astronaut who lands on an alien planet.
